Due to the confusion of rules and regulations and the associated risk for organizers, we unfortunately had to decide to also cancel the TangoSafari Lago d`0rta.
Should the decision makers change their minds at short notice, we will check if a TangoSafari is still feasible. Subscribe to our newsletter and stay up to date.
This is the originally planned program:
Explore tango – spruce up your body with bodywork | milongas in the daytime & in the night | more that 10 teachers, about 15 workshops daily | a lot of fun and exchange | single dancers welcome
The focus will be – apart from tango, of course – on different methods of bodywork to support your tango in a magnificent way. An excellent team will join you on your journey – and provide you with an exciting programme. Single dancers are most welcome – we'll make sure there's a balanced share of leaders and followers.

Lodging, catering & information about the venue
The TangoSafari base is the beautiful seminar center "Centro d'Ompio" in Piedmont, located directly on the Lago d'Orta (about 50 km north of Milan).
The Centro d'Ompio is like a green oasis in the mountains with a direct view of the Lago d`Orta. We have several dance halls with wooden floors, a bodywork dome. an outdoor dancing tent, a large terrace with a huge pool, a fireplace, wide meadows, waterfalls in the immediate vicinity and delicious food - the ideal environment for a varied and exciting safari of the senses with lots of Tango.

The facility is divided into two main areas:
On the one hand the main house with some rooms, the dance pavilion & bodywork dome, the dining area, the large terrace with pool and dance tent as well as the massage dome, some areas for campers and the dorm. The Tango Workshops and the big Milonga every evening take place in the dance pavilion. On the outdoor dance floor at the pool we meet for the daily Milonga Aperitivo.
The second large building complex is the "Casa Felicina" about 10-15 minutes walk away below the main house. There are further rooms with a simpler standard as well as an additional large dance hall with anteroom for chilling and chatting.
The whole area is embedded in the green and you feel like in the jungle. We sleep in double or shared rooms, in tents or dormitory or in our own camper. Single room accommodation is only possible externally due to the limited number of rooms.
Programme - TangoSafari @ Centro d´Ompio at Lago d´Orta
New location = extended concept
Even if you are not interested in workshops there is the possibility to dance almost around the clock. Additionally to the Milongas during the nights there will be a "Milonga Aperetivo" (Tango enquentro) during the day time with internationally known DJs during the day.
At the tango café you have the opportunity to dance, train and share. And if you just do not feel like tango, you can relax by the pool, take a boat trip on the lake or make a trip to the diverse nature.
Workshop friends of all levels will rediscover the Tango and their body lead by competent & engaging teachers.
You can expect a unique time at a unique place.
Prices for participation, accommodation and catering 2020
Our prices are split into two components. A general charge covers classes, programme and organisation. In addition there is a rate for acommodation and catering, which we ask you to pay on site. Please organize your trip individually; fares are not included in the prices.
Workshop and festival pass
- Participants who do not want to attend workshops only pay for the Basic Festival ticket.
- The Basic Festival Pass entitles you to participate in the day & evening events, shows & concerts.
- Der Basic-Festivalpass berechtigt zur Teilnahme an den Tages- & Abendveranstaltungen, Praktikas, Shows & Konzerten.
- The festival pass is valid from 2 p.m. of the first day of the booked period until 4 p.m. of the last day of the period. If you wish to stay longer you'd need to book an extra day.
- * There is limited accommodation for visitors and participants who do not wish to attend any workshops.
- These prices to not include food (could be paid extra)
