Aurelie Lafond & Julian Hahn - Tango

We use Julian's experience as a teacher in DNI Buenos Aires and member of the DNI company to share with you the tango that we most love to dance: connected and musical. After 4 years of living in Buenos Aires we moved to Berlin, where we teach and dance together. We speak English, German, Spanish and French!

Our teaching is based on:

  • natural movements, using the biomechanics of the body so that you can dance  with comfort and enjoyment.
  • listening closely to your partner and working deeply with connection so that you give your partner the opportunity to fully express themselves.
  • appreciating and understanding tango music so that you can play with the music and truly enjoy your tandas

Our goal is to give you all the tools you need to dance in the milonga.

About... Julian

I am a professional tango dancer, teacher and musician. I taught and performed for 3 years at DNI tango school /company in Buenos Aires. I’ve also taught in the Cologne region of Germany.

During my teaching in DNI tango in Buenos Aires I allready gave around 3000 privat lessons and a lot of group lessons. I taught all the levels from beginners until professional dancers.

Before becoming a professional dancer, I was a jazz musician playing the double bass. As a musician, I have also studied tango music and played in tango orchestras like El Cachivache, performing in Buenos Aires and Europe.

What I like most about tango is the improvisation with the partner, moving in harmony with the music, and understanding the biomechanics that generate our movements.

About... Aurelie

I lived in Buenos Aires for more than 4 years, where I deeply studied tango dance, tango music, and the Argentine culture.

I worked as an assistant teacher at the DNI tango school in Buenos Aires and I took lessons with many celebrated tango dancers. During my time in Buenos Aires, I also studied contemporary dance at Ana Frenkel’s school. I have danced for more than 15 years. I started dancing in France: jazz, rock’n roll, and latin (especially salsa and bachata). Before my stay in Argentina, I lived for 2 years in China where I taught salsa dancing.

What I like most about tango is the connection with the partner and the opportunity to express myself through the dance. Beyond dance, I am passionate about tango music, tango lyrics, and the Argentine culture.
